Mean Machines

Upgrading your auto with a turbo is like overclocking your engine, Increased air intake and fuel consumption to wheel spin ratio...in other words faster travel with more air and fuel usage...If you really need extra horses and kilo wattage in your car than consider the modification its cheaper than Nitroes Oxide below is a couple of self explanetory pictures...

The turbo as you can see above is connected to the outlet which means that whenever spent gasses from the engine escape trough the outlet manifold on its way to the exhaust system it first blows trough the turbo forcing the turbine of turbo to turn as its both connected to a shaft which in turn sucks more air into the intake manifold and the result of it is inreased fuel to keep the air-to-fuel ratio constant...Because the exhaust system runs at extremely High temperatures it heats up the turbo which makes the air intake hotter and degrades performance because it affects the combustion of the airfuel-mixture, thus an intercooler needs to be installed to keep the air intake cooler...Below a couple of more pictures of turbos...

As you can see in the picture above just after the air moves through the turbo it gets intercooled before it reaches the intake system...
